Ever wondered what China means by politics, or why there are so many Saudi Arabians on Instagam? No, nobody thinks about that but when asked, we all want to know. Tom Standage's new book- 'Go Figure', answers all of these questions and a lot more on topics you must've thought of in the shower. It is a retro book for teenagers and adults alike and is highly recommended by 'The Economist' newspaper. It has topics on leisure, technology, political and social affairs and a money. It is a book you'd read when you are bored and would not stop reading when you start. Along with a bunch of sketches and pictures, compiled with a banta of jokes, 'Go Figure' makes an excellent read

Levitt's Twisted Brain
'If Indiana Jones were an economist, he'd be Levitt.'
Yes, the final edition of the Freakonomics series has finally been released. It may not live the same hype as the release of Grand Theft Auto V or Fallout 4, but it is certainly a very awaited book of a very famed book series where an economist explains the hidden side of everyone and everything whilst striking awe into the hearts of all the readers.
Freakonomics (2005) dealt with the KKK, sumo wrestlers and cheating teachers and was an instant wonder among economists and teenagers alike.
Super Freakonomics, released in 2009 was a fitting successor to its predecessor and asked the question all of us wanted an answer to: why should suicide bombers buy life insurance. It also exploited unanswered questions on the environment.
Think Like A Freak (2014) told us that 'I love you' were not the hardest three words to tell somebody and how king Solomon was like David lee Roth, of Van Halen, amongst several other stories.
The final edition of the series, When To Rob A Bank (2015) proposes a different format of writing. It is written in a form of blogs and is essentially a print all the famous blogs from the freakonomics website and is purely made for die hard freakonomics fans. It explains how drugs are easy to smuggle and traffic, how airlines cut costs, the benefits of cheating in sports, among others.
Articles normally comprise only a page or so but some go on for five pages. It a a fun read but a lot of people won't likely understand some articles as they are related to different countries or governments of faraway places. Essentially, however, everybody got almost all articles and the book was very well received by the community. Several famed newspapers and radios have acknowledged this book individually and the series on the whole as exceptional and fun.
Steven Levitt has gained a lot of credibility due to his brainchild and has inspired a lot of adults and children to see the hidden side of everything and always question things and dogmas.
From football world cups to department store santas, the series has everything to know about the world and its twisted ways.
The final book of the saga poses a threat the other books on blogging and taks about various aspects of various things. It is a superb read and I suggest that it should definitely be read by everybody toking for a fun book to read.
